As we have grown, we have recognized the need to continue to care for and development our employees and that means that we need to grow the capabilities of our Human Resources department. Flanders is creating the HR Director position in order to ensure that we are “world-class” in the development and stewardship of our people.
The major areas that will be directed:
• Recruiting and staffing;
• Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health;
• Compensation and benefits administration;
• Employee orientation, development and training;
• Performance management and improvement systems;
• Leadership development and succession planning;
• International employment law compliance;
• Policy development and documentation;
• Employee relations and satisfaction;
• Company employee and community communication;
• Organizational and space planning;
• Employee services and counseling;
Job Requirements: •Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training and development.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
•Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
•Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
•Excellent computer skills.
•General knowledge of various employment laws and practices including international countries.
•Experience in the design, negotiation and administration of benefits and compensation programs and other human resources programs.
•Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resource networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.
•Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resources management.
•Travel to Flanders’ sites is required.
Experience Required:
•Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
Education Desired:
•Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development. |
